Ingredients

  • 2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Peel (if desired) and cut the apples into fry-like sticks, then pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with whisked egg and milk, and one with panko breadcrumbs mixed with sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Coat each apple stick in flour, dip in the egg mixture, then coat in the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Lightly spray the coated apple fries with nonstick spray and arrange them in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  5. Air fry at 380°F (190°C) for 7-9 minutes, shaking halfway through until golden and crispy.
