- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp ground red pepper
- 1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 1 medium green bell pepper, cut into strips
- 18 oz barbecue sauce
- ½ cup light brown sugar
Instructions
- Trim excess fat from the pork shoulder. In a bowl, mix salt, cumin, paprika, black pepper, and red pepper. Rub this seasoning over the pork.
- Layer sliced onion and bell pepper at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Place the seasoned pork on top of the vegetables.
- Mix barbecue sauce with brown sugar in a separate bowl and pour over the pork.
