Ingredients
- 1 medium yellow or white onion
- 4–5 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped
- 3–4 tbsp fresh horseradish, grated
- 3–4 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- Raw apple cider vinegar (enough to fill the jar)
- Optional: raw honey, cayenne pepper powder, citrus slices, herbs
Instructions
- Chop onion, garlic, horseradish, and ginger.
- Slice optional citrus and pack ingredients in a quart-sized glass jar until ¾ full.
- Pour raw apple cider vinegar over the ingredients until the jar is full.
- Seal the jar and store at room temperature for 3 to 4 weeks, shaking daily.
- After steeping, strain through cheesecloth or a mesh strainer and add raw honey and chili powder to taste.
