  • 2 tbsp dried culinary lavender buds
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • Fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, and baking powder; set aside.
  3. Using a stand mixer, cream butter and sugar until fluffy (2-3 minutes). Add egg and mix until combined.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients on low speed until just mixed; dough may appear slightly dry.
  5. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls onto prepared sheets, spaced about 2 inches apart. Flatten each ball gently.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden; cool on the baking sheet for five minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  7. For glaze, mix powdered sugar with fresh lemon juice until smooth; drizzle over cooled cookies.
